Brandon has over 20 years of experience in pharmacy going all the way back to when his family opened Hometown Apothecary Drugs (formerly Pete's Apothecary) in 1997. He had many different roles at the pharmacy over the years, including Pharmacy Manager, up until 2019 when the pharmacy closed due to many of the same reimbursement challenges that are causing the rapid closures of both independent and chain pharmacies seen today. A lifelong Beaver County resident, Brandon is called to serve his community by preserving access to the services independent pharmacies provide by cutting out the middlemen that increase costs and limit patient access to a quality pharmacy experience.
Brandon is a Class of 2003 alum of New Brighton Highschool. He received his B.S. in Accounting from Penn State University and Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of Pittsburgh School of Pharmacy. After getting his pharmacy degree, he completed a PGY1 Community Pharmacy Practice Residency at the University of Pittsburgh Student Health Pharmacy, a program that operated in collaboration with the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association. In this role, and immediately thereafter, Brandon served as the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Care Network's first Executive Manager where he worked to help launch the clinically integrated network and would later return to serve as its first President and Chief Operating Officer. Over the years, he has worked in field, management, and executive-level positions in a variety of pharmacy settings including academia, corporate, supply chain, and managed care. Those experiences shaped his view on the current state of U.S. healthcare which is why Brandon left the C-suite in 2024 to open Forward Rx, a cost-plus pharmacy on a mission to bring transparency, affordability, and patient choice back to healthcare.
Brandon resides in Beaver County with his wife, Kristy, and two children Owen and Olivia. He is a Board Member of the Beaver County Cancer and Heart Association. He is also a Past-President of the Allegheny County Pharmacists Association and an active member of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association. When he's not at the pharmacy, he enjoys watching golf, spending time with his family, and hanging out with his high school buddies.
